MAKING IT POTABLE: An aerial view of the experimental floating desalination plant, Sagar Shakthi, with a capacity of 1 million litres per day, which works on low temperature thermal desalination method. The plant, constructed by the National Institute of Ocean Technology, is situated 40 km off Chennai.
