Shree Cement unveils third brand

Kolkata, April 21

The Rs 1,400-crore turnover Shree Cement Ltd has launched its third cement brand, Tuff Cemento 3556, in Rajasthan. Launched after the Shree Ultra and Bangur, Tuff Cemento 3556 has been positioned as the "best available premium brand in the market", according to a press release issued by the company today.

The release added that Shree Cement has set up a 1.50-million tonnes per annum (mtpa) capacity manufacturing unit in Pali district of Rajasthan to manufacture Tuff Cemento. In the domestic market, the product was being sold through a 600-strong dealer network. The company has a 20 per cent share of the cement market in Rajasthan. Upon implementation of the company's expansion plans, Shree Cement's total capacity would go up to 10 mtpa by 2007, according to the release.
