Cement Cement Manufacturing net rises Our Bureau
Kolkata April 22 Cement Manufacturing Company Ltd's, turnover in 2006-07 has gone up to Rs 265 crore, marking an increase of 65.71 per cent from Rs 160 crore in the corresponding year 2005-06. The net profit has zoomed to about Rs 87 crore from about Rs 28 crore, an increase of 311 per cent. The profit before tax stood at Rs 99 crore against Rs 31 crore. It is also in the mode of expansion and at present is looking up for setting up plants in Assam, Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal. The company has entered into an MoU with the Jharkhand Government for setting up a one million tonne per annum plant.
