All students of the current academic year at the School of Textiles in the SSM College of Engineering in Komarapalayam were placed with industries. Among the textile companies which recruited the students this year are Arvind Mills, R.B. Creations, SCM Textiles, S.P. Apparels, PR&PR Non wovens, Sarnitha Knit Tech, Subbu Mills, Voltas and Madura Coats, according to a communication from department of textile technology, SSM College of Engineering. The School of Textiles, SSM College of Engineering offers four-year B.Tech in textile technology and textile chemistry, two years M.Tech in textile and textile chemistry and a three year B.Sc in apparel and fashion technology.
