CHILLI FAIR: Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, a chilli fair is held during March-June at Shanivarasanthe in Kodagu District in Karnataka. From here, nearly 60 to 80 loads of chillies go to Bangalore, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Kerala besides Gujarat during this season. Each bag of 20 kg costs between Rs 90 and Rs 160.
