Kolkata April 23 The West Bengal Small Scale Industries Development Corporation (WBSIDC) plans to develop 10 industrial estates for the SSI sector in the State in joint venture with private real estate developers.

Among the private developers in fray are Merlin group, PS group, Emami, South City Projects, HR Global and others. The proposals include setting up of an estate especially for small scale IT sector near Kolkata.

Addressing a press conference last week, the WBSIDC Chairman, Mr Moinul Hassan, said the agency operates 27 such estates in the State and is currently setting up seven more estates across the State.
