Israeli firm Palram Ind enters India

Hyderabad April 23 Israeli company Palram Industries Ltd, a manufacturer of polycarbonate, PVC and acrylic sheets, has announced its entry into India with its range of products.

The company has appointed Suparna Polycab as its maiden distributor in the country, and has already bagged orders worth about Rs 6 crore for supply of PVC sheets and flat sheets. This order is to be executed before March 2008.

The Director of Palram Industries Ltd, in Asia and Far East, Mr Arnon Eshed, said that the company formed about 40 years ago, is a multinational producer of thermoplastic sheets used in construction, advertising and agriculture areas.

The company, with revenues of $250 million, has 15 manufacturing facilities in Israel, Panama, France, Germany, England, Japan, HongKong and Mexico.

The company also established a partnership with Bayer AG, which holds a 25 per cent share in the Palram's subsidiary Paltough Industries.
