USP lab gets ISO certification

Hyderabad, April 24

The laboratory of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) here has received accreditation of International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 17025:2005 through ACLASS, an Arlington-based accrediting body. "The accreditation recognises our commitment to maintaining the highest standards and practices," Mr Kumud Sampath, Vice-President of USP India Ltd, said in a release. The accreditation process is based on a detailed examination of the overall technical competency of laboratories. It covers every aspect from sample preparation and analytical testing proficiency to reports and record keeping, the release added.
