Software Info-Tech - Financial Performance Zensar posts 37% revenue growth Our Bureau
Pune April 24 Zensar Technologies has recorded a revenue of Rs 171.36 crore for the quarter ended March 2007, a growth of 37 per cent over the previous year (Rs 125.24 crore) and a sequential quarter growth of 16 per cent (Rs 148 crore). Announcing the results, Mr Ganesh Natarajan, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, said net profit after tax was Rs 17.21 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 with a sequential quarter growth of 30 per cent (Rs 13.22 crore). Basic earning per share before exceptional income was Rs 7.29 (Rs 7.34). The revenue for the year ended March 2007 stood at Rs 605.86 crore, a growth of 41 per cent (Rs 428.79 crore). Net profit after tax was Rs 57.19 crore, a growth of 69 per cent (Rs 33.93 crore). Basic earning per share before exceptional income stood at Rs 24.22 (Rs 14.49), a growth of 67 per cent, he said. The company added 58 new clients during the year, 24 of them engaging Zensar's new services, he said. The acquisition and integration of Thought Digital, re-christened Zensar Thought Digital, would be positioned as the Global Oracle Practice of Zensar with 720 Oracle consultants.
