Syntel plans centre near Chennai

Chennai April 24 Syntel Inc will build a new software development centre in 29 acres near Chennai with the first phase (8-lakh sq ft) to come up by June 2008 at Siruseri SEZ on the Old Mahabalipuram Road at a cost of $20 million (Rs 90 crore).

The US-based IT services and business process outsourcing company with development centres in India has also set up a 700-seat centre in DLF SEZ, according to a company press release.

In Pune, Syntel has built a 2,200-seat campus taking the total capacity there to 3,200 seats. It also received approval for its own SEZ facility in Pune and will commence construction at Talawade.
