Financial Performance Corporate Results - Telecommunications Idea Cellular Q4 net profit rises 65% Our Bureau
Mumbai April 25 Idea Cellular, which publicly listed in March, said its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter of the fiscal amounted to Rs 193.4 crore, registering a 65.6 per cent rise over the corresponding year-ago quarter. Total revenues were up 54.9 per cent at Rs 1341 crore, while EBITDA rose 42.3 per cent to Rs 469 crore. The consolidated net profit for the fiscal ended March 31, 2007 rose 137 per cent to Rs 503 crore said the company. Annual revenues, at Rs 4,413 crore, rose 47.6 per cent, as the subscriber base rose 90 per cent to 14 million. Net subscriber additions during the year were 189 per cent higher at over 6.6 million.
The company is in the process of amalgamating its subsidiaries, the appointed date under the scheme being April 1, 2006, it said, in a statement. On Wednesday, the company's shares gained 2.53 per cent on the BSE, closing at Rs 117.5.
