Virginia-India community college

The Commonwealth of Virginia proposes to set up jointly with the government of India and NASSCOM a community college in India on the lines of the Northern Virginia Community College.

A research collaboration effort is also likely to be established soon between Virginia Tech University, Corning Community College and an Indian institute, Mr Aneesh Chopra, Secretary of Technology, Commonwealth of Virginia, said on Wednesday.

Mr Chopra is part of a delegation from the US State of Virginia that is currently visiting India. The cross-sector delegation is scheduled to visit Apollo Hospitals in Chennai to understand and explore partnerships in the area of telemedicine, Mr Chopra said.
