Malabar Gold plans 6 showrooms

Jewellery manufacturer Malabar Gold has proposed to open at least six more showrooms in South India within this year, raising the total number to 20 by 2008. The new showrooms will be set up in Bangalore, Mysore, Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Kollam. The company is also planning to open a showroom in Chennai, the Malabar Gold Chairman, Mr M.P. Ahamed, said at a press meet. There are also plans to set up shop at the Dubai Gold Souk next month and add six showrooms in the West Asia, including Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain, he said.
