SSI ISB training programme for SMEs Our Bureau
Hyderabad April 26 With a view to training the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to take advantage of globalisation, Indian School of Business (ISB) is rolling out a special programme. The programme would help the SMEs in evolving an apt growth strategy. They have to now take into account the impact of globalisation on their business, Mr Deepak Chandra, Assistant Dean, Executive Education, ISB, told Business Line. "The three-day training capsule will cover the broad themes of drivers of globalisation and how the organisations should grow, local advantages for the SMEs and ways and means to leverage them for growth and what SMEs should do at an individual level for faster growth," Mr Deepak said. A highly qualified faculty team, including professors from the London School of Business and University of Wisconsin, would handle the training, to be offered in New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai between June 14 and 22. The entrepreneurs who are interested in global opportunities, managers from SMEs responsible for global growth and advisors to SMEs can attend the programme. "The programme will be of particular interest to key decision makers from SMEs in industries that are poised for growth, such as auto components, textiles, food processing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and engineering," Mr Chandra said. It would be jointly organised by the Centre for Executive Education and Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship in ISB.
