PTC Q4 net down 17%

PTC India Ltd has announced a 17 per cent dip in net profit at Rs 5.80 crore during the fourth quarter of 2006-07 from Rs 6.99 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company's income from operations was down 20 per cent at Rs 602.48 crore during the fourth quarter on the back of nearly 33 per cent lower volumes during the period. During 2006-07, the company's net profit was down 14 per cent at Rs 35.09 crore. Income from operations was, however, up 21 per cent at Rs 3,766.66 crore compared with Rs 3,108.55 crore during corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
