Synergies Castings, the Vizag-based auto components company, has bagged two orders worth over $100 million from General Motors for supply of alloy wheels, according to a press release issued by the company. The order is for supply of 1.5 lakh chrome finished, 22-inch aluminium alloy wheels for the high-end Cadillac Escalade platform. The order follows the one for American icon, the Hummer H2. The Hummer H2 wheels have been in supply for the past one year, with zero defaults on quality or deliveries. Together, these two orders will have to be executed over the next four years, adds the release.
