New Delhi, April 27

Discovery Channel has created a new time band for India Special programmes, Monday through Thursday at 8 pm. The slot is to showcase both old and new India, with shows on the Delhi Metro, lost temples, Ladakh and billboard painting.

The week includes an one hour special in which Pulitzer prize-winning journalist Thomas L Friedman travels to Bangalore to figure out the "The Other Side of Outsourcing". The programme will play at 8 pm on April 30.
