Elected to co-op bankers' body

Hyderabad April 27 Mr Vasanta Nageshwara Rao, President of Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Ltd, has been elected as the Vice-Chairman of the National Federation of State Cooperative Banks (NAFSCOB).

NAFSCOB is an association of all State and Central cooperative banks in the country.

"Being a national body of cooperative banks, the Federation offers a platform for the member banks to discuss the problems that dogged the sector," Mr Nageshwara Rao said.

He said the Federation coordinated and interacted with the Union Government and Reserve Bank of India periodically on various issues.
