Our Bureau

Hyderabad April 27 The founder of the Young Entrepreneurs Organisation (YEO) and management expert Mr Verne Harnish will hold a series of special management programmes for executives in India during next month.

An author, founder and CEO of Gazelles Inc, an outsourced corporate university for mid-sized firms, the US-based Mr Verne will hold workshops in Mumbai on May 9 and thereafter go to Bangalore, Hyderabad and New Delhi in that week.

According to Knowledge Capital Services, who are organising the events in the country, the focus would be on entrepreneurship and helping successful business ventures. Mr Verne has held such programmes in Malaysia, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia etc.

Entrepreneurship

In the context of more venture capital and private equity funds investing in start-ups and early stage companies in the country, the practical workshop featuring the experienced presentations of Mr Verne Harnish would be useful for the Indian business community, it said in a press release.

Two Indian companies — Sona Mobility Services and Kenexa — have benefited from the management concepts of Mr Verne Harnish, who is known for the CEO programme `Birthing of Giants' and `Advanced Business', held annually at the MIT in US, the release added.

In the context of growing entrepreneurship among management and engineering students, as well as the increasing number of venture capital and private equity funds investing in start-ups, the training programmes could assume relevance, it added.
