Our Bureau

Bangalore April 27 Aztecsoft Ltd has posted a 35.89 per cent dip in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 6.75 crore from Rs 10.53 crore in the corresponding previous period.

However, revenues were up to Rs 62.25 crore (Rs 54.96 crore) during the period under review.

Meanwhile, the company has reported five per cent growth in consolidated net profit and 32 per cent increase in revenues for the whole year ended March 31, compared to the previous year.

Net profit stood at Rs 38.62 crore on revenue of Rs 260.99 crore, compared to Rs 36.87 crore and Rs 198.23 crore respectively in the previous year.

Mr V. Chandrasekaran, Managing Director, said that revenue and profit growth during the fourth quarter was impacted by sluggish growth in top accounts.

"We anticipate this trend to continue in the first quarter of the new fiscal. However, we remain confident of the overall business momentum and our recent client wins will help us to continue to grow in subsequent quarters."

Aztecsoft added six new clients during the quarter, increasing the active client base to 90.
