Financial Performance Corporate Results - Software HCL Info Q3 net climbs to Rs 173.12 cr Our Bureau
New Delhi April 27 HCL Infosystems Ltd standalone net profit stood at Rs 173.12 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007, as against Rs 34.50 crore for the corresponding quarter the previous fiscal. The company's consolidated net profit rose marginally by 4 per cent at Rs 87.98 crore for the quarter from Rs 84.44 crore in the same period last year. During the quarter, the company's standalone net sales stood at Rs 7,459.93 crore as against Rs 661.58 crore in the corresponding quarter the previous year. The standalone results for the quarter include the results of its office automation business and telecommunication for the nine months ended March 31, 2007, resulting in higher profit after tax and revenues. The previous year's figures of the standalone company do not include the impact of amalgamation and hence are not comparable. However, the consolidated net sales recorded a dip of around 8 per cent with sales declining to Rs 2,910.44 crore from Rs 3,190.59 crore the corresponding period previous year.
Outlook flat
"Due to the restructuring, the revenues have declined. However, our operating profit remains the same. The year would remain flat," said Mr Sandeep Kanwar, Chief Financial Officer, HCL Infosystems Ltd. The company's board of directors approved the payment of third interim dividend of Rs 2 per share (100 per cent). The company's share on BSE opened at Rs 138.40 and closed at Rs 145.35 on Friday.
