Clariant Chem net up 141%

Clariant Chemicals (India) Ltd, manufactures of speciality chemicals, has reported a 141 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 14.43 crore for the quarter ended March 31, as against Rs 5.97 crore in the year-ago period.

This number was arrived at after the adjustment of integration expenses to the tune of Rs 8.56 crore, the company said in a release. Net sales fell marginally from Rs 203.62 crore to Rs 203.6 crore. Total expenditure was also lower at Rs 187.52 core against Rs 199.08 crore. The stock of the company fell by 0.04 per cent to close at Rs 270.65 on the BSE on Friday.
