Salem farmers' body plea

The United Farmers Association, a farmers body in Salem, has called upon the Tamil Nadu Government to accord the same importance to animal husbandry as is being given to agriculture by taking up the demands of the former in the Assembly along with that of the agriculture. Invariably, the demands of the animal husbandry sector being taken up at the fag end of the session pale out in importance, the association President, Mr P. Vyapuri, said in a communication.
