COWE plans industrial park

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, April 29

The Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE) will establish a 75-acre industrial park at Chevella in Rangareddy district. The Government has agreed in-principle to allot land and extend help in setting up the park. "Besides housing manufacturing units in different sectors, the park would have a food park, a market yard," Ms Soudhamini, Secretary of COWE, said.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, she said a 16-member COWE delegation had recently visited Australia to promote the park. "We have received a good response from chambers there," she said. The idea is to initiate closer co-operation between enterprises and to develop business opportunities for the members, Mr A. Karthikeyan, Project Director of ZDH/SEQUA (a German confederation of skilled crafts) that facilitated the visit.
