Hyderabad April 30 Godrej Lifespace, the retail arm of Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing in home and office improvement space, is looking at expanding its presence to West Asia, Sri Lanka, Nepal and other neighbouring countries in the next two to three years. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Mr Shyam Motwani, Vice-President and Business Head, said the company would have 100 Lifespace-branded outlets by 2010. "We are targeting a turnover of Rs 450 crore, including Rs 150 crore from the southern States. About 20 per cent of this would come from products outside the Godrej basket," he said.
Tier-II, III cities
The expansion plan included opening stores in tier-II and tier-III cities. The company, which registered a turnover of Rs 100 crore during 2006-07, was targeting at Rs 150 crore in the current financial year. Mr Motwani was here in connection with the launch of Lifespace's 49th showroom in the Hi-Tech City at Madhapur. The company would also expand its product category by launching products in microwaveable containers, children's products, wall furnishings and crystal ware.
