Alok Industries net profit up 41%

Mumbai May 1 Textile manufacturer Alok Industries Ltd has posted a 41.25 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 49 crore (excluding a forex gain of Rs 33.43 crore) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007, compared to Rs 34.69 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Net sales rose 40.80 per cent to Rs 574.08 crore (Rs 407.74 crore). Exports grew 118.63 per cent to Rs 256.69 crore (Rs 117.41 crore).

For the full year ended March 31, 2007, net profit grew 33.34 per cent to Rs 145.62 crore (excluding forex gain) compared to Rs 109.21 crore. Net sales rose 28.74 per cent to Rs 1,829.04 crore (Rs 1420.70 crore).
