Diversification Kamdhenu Ispat forays into structural steel products Our Bureau
New Delhi May 1 Kamdhenu Ispat Ltd today announced foraying into structural steel products including angles, beams, channels and flats. "We have started production in since last month," the Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Satish Agarwal, told presspersons here. The move would help the company to take the total revenue from the Kamdhenu brand to Rs 3,000 crore from the present Rs 1,500 crore, he said. The company has tied up with three rolling mills in Maharashtra, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh to manufacture the new range of structural products. "The company expects production capacity to touch three lakh tonnes per annum in the current fiscal and would further increase this capacity to 10 lakh tonnes in the next two-three years," Mr Agarwal said. The company has entered into strategic tie-up for manufacturing of structural items with Venus Rolling Mills in Maharashtra, Shree Ambika Alloys in Punjab and Kundlas Loh Udyog in Himachal Pradesh. The company has also entered into a franchisee agreement with Raika Ispat Udyog Pvt Ltd in Chhattisgarh for manufacturing of Kamdhenu brand binding wires, a new venture in the steel segment, he said.
