Sify launches portal for Hyderabad city

Hyderabad May 1 Sify.com, the consumer portal from Sify Ltd, has announced the launch of www.hyderabadlive.in, a broadband and video Web site for the city of Hyderabad. The Web site was launched by actor Nagarjuna on Monday. After the launch of mumbailive.in and bangalorelive.in, hyderabadlive.in is the third broadband city portal from Sify.com.

www.hyderabadlive.in will enable the citizens of Hyderabad to access local content spanning Tollywood happenings, music, the hottest clubs and the city's latest gossip, all in video!

The Chairman and Managing Director, Sify Ltd, Mr Raju Vegesna, in a statement said: "www.hyderabadlive.in is an important step in our objective of building strong city specific communities and catering to the local information needs of citizens of each of these cities."

Sify.com's `Net Jockeys' will also present video capsules that include City News, Shopping, Hangouts, Party life and Careers in the city.

The broadband Web site also features live video feeds from traffic web-cams stationed at key junctions of the city so citizens can plan their routes by checking the site for the prevailing traffic conditions.
