Bangalore May 2 Titan Industries has launched the Dash brand of prescription eyewear for children. This was announced at the opening of two Titan Eye+ showrooms in Bangalore (at Jayanagar and Koramangala) by Mr Bhaskar Bhat, Managing Director, Titan Industries. The Dash range of frames, available in the Rs 390-Rs 700 price-range, offers protection against rough usage by children. Titan Industries recently forayed into the prescription eyewear segment with a store in Bangalore. Titan Eye+ stores sell a host of Titan, Eye+ and international brands of frames, apart from lenses, contact lenses and sunglasses. Titan Industries plans to open a store in Nagpur soon, followed by 10 stores in Chennai and Bangalore by the end of the year. It aims to open 150 stores across India in three years, said Mr Bhat. Titan sources lenses from the Indian manufacturing facility of the French plastic lenses major, Essilor, and processes them to market through its outlets.
