Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation, a subsidiary of Suzlon Energy Ltd, has signed a contract for 400 MW of wind turbine capacity with PPM Energy of Portland, USA. Under the contract, delivery of 300 MW turbine capacity is to be made in 2008 and 100 MW of capacity in 2009, according to a press release. The turbine agreement includes the supply of 143 units of the S88-2.1 MW turbines in 2008 and 48 units in 2009.
