Navin Flourine net at Rs 1.15 cr

Mumbai May 2 Navin Fluorine International Ltd, part of the Arvind Mafatlal Group, posted a net profit of Rs 1.15 crore, on a standalone basis, for the quarter ended March 31, against a Rs 3.2-crore loss recorded for the corresponding period in the last fiscal.

Net sales for the quarter was higher by 13 per cent at Rs 69 crore (Rs 60.5 crore). For the year ended March 31, net profit was up 47 per cent to Rs. 126 crore compared to last year's Rs 8.55 crore.

Net sales rose by 11 per cent to Rs 260 crore (Rs 232.7 crore). Mr Vinesh Sadekar, Managing Director, said "strategic focus on speciality organofluorines and bulk fluorides resulted in a 36 per cent growth in these businesses, more than offsetting a 10 per cent voluntary reduction in refrigeration gas business."
