Hyderabad, May 3

Guruji.com, a search engine for India, today announced the launch of Telugu language search option . Backed by Sequoia Capital India, Guruji now plans to extend this to about eight languages within 3-4 months. Speaking to newspersons, Mr Gaurav Mishra, co-founder and CEO, said: "About 90 per cent of search queries were local in nature and local language interface adds a new dimension to this search. We believe that as the Internet penetrates into tier II and III cities across the country, local language interface would make a world of difference to users."
