NTPC, Meghalaya Electricity Board sign PPAs

Kolkata May 3 NTPC Ltd and Meghalaya State Electricity Board (MeSEB) have signed two power purchase agreements (PPA) for the supply of power to the State of Meghalaya.

As per the agreements, 40 MW power shall be supplied from NTPC's Kahalgaon Stage-II (Bihar) generating unit and another 21.24 MW power shall be made available from NTPC's Farakka (West Bengal), Talcher Kaniha-Stage-I (Orissa) and Kahalgaon (Bihar) units.

The agreements were signed by Mr P.K. Roy, Member (Technical), Meghalaya SEB and Mr I.J. Kapoor, Executive Director (Commercial) NTPC, on behalf of their respective organizations in the presence of Mr R.S. Sharma, Director (Commercial), NTPC, and other senior officials of MeSEB & NTPC.
