Aviva Life opens more branches

Kochi May 3 Aviva Life Insurance has launched additional 22 branches taking the total number to 42 covering Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

`The four States in south India are important markets for the company and we have expanded our presence in this region in the first quarter of 2007,' Mr Vivek Khanna, Director (Marketing), Aviva India, said at an interactive session with the media. Of the new branches, 12 will be in Kerala, he said. "Being a customer-centric company, we have aggressive expansion plans in the region to ensure that we reach our target audience and offer them market leading products and services," he added.

Aviva is present in 244 locations through its bancassurance partnerships in southern India.

The company has also plans to increase its field-force capacity to over 10,000 financial planning advisors in the southern region itself, he added.
