BHEL may get Ghana order

The unit of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) here is likely to bag a Rs 100 crore order for gas turbines from the Ministry of Energy, Ghana.

According to a release, a high-level delegation of Ministry of Energy, Ghana, visited the BHEL unit at Ramachandrapuram here on Thursday. The visiting delegation enquired many details about BHEL's capabilities in engineering, material procurement, manufacturing and quality control, among others. "The Ghana Ministry of Energy is setting up a gas turbine-based power plant with two Fr-6 gas turbines and is actively considering sourcing of gas turbine from BHEL," the release said. The order value could be over Rs 100 crore, it added.
