Marginal rise in Coromandel Fertilisers Q4 net

Hyderabad May 3 Coromandel Fertilisers Ltd, a Murugappa group company, has registered a drop in turnover at Rs 444.17 crore during the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 from Rs 563.34 crore in the same period last year.

Net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 16.76 crore as against Rs 15.93 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

For the financial year 2006-07, the company registered a turnover of Rs 2,084.22 crore as against Rs 1,874.71 crore in the previous year, showing a 11 per cent growth.

Net profit for the year was put at Rs 100.74 crore (Rs 83.55 crore), an increase of 20.57 per cent, Mr V. Ravichandran, Managing Director, said here in a press release.

The board of directors, which considered the audited results, has recommended a dividend of 100 per cent for the financial year as against 85 per cent paid last year.
