Our Bureau

Kochi May 5 Audited results for Harrisons Malayalam Ltd (HML) for 2006-07 showed a growth in sales to Rs 209.21 crore against Rs 151.65 crore in the previous year, registering an increase of 38 per cent. This was achieved due to larger volume of sales as well as better realisation for the company's main products - tea and rubber, an official release here said.

Greater efficiency and elaborate cost control helped the profit to grow from Rs 5.31 crore in the previous year to Rs 15.05 crore notwithstanding an increase in wages and cost of finance, it added.
