Reliance Money forays into gold coin retailing

Mumbai May 3 Reliance Money today announced its foray into gold coin retailing with a tie-up with Valcambi SA of Switzerland.

Reliance Money will now sell 24 carat 999.9 pure gold coins in denominations of 5gm and 8gm at Reliance Money and Reliance World outlets.

Reliance Money becomes the first non-banking company in the private sector to launch gold coins.

"Gold is an important financial investment. India is the largest consumer of gold in the world and we feel that it is important to add this to our portfolio of existing products and services," said Mr Sudip Bandyopadhyay, CEO, Reliance Money.
