Amway plans expansion in Kerala

Kochi May 6 Amway India has set a target of achieving Rs 1,000 crore sales turnover by the next financial year. The company has consolidated its position in the direct selling industry recording a turnover of Rs 738 crore in the fiscal 2006, a growth of over 15 per cent in the previous fiscal.

The company has announced expansion plans for Kerala on the occasion of its ninth anniversary. Kerala is today one among the top five States for Amway in India. The company will be opening two more offices in 2007 from the current four offices. It has also proposed to add six new products, including colour cosmetics, a press release said.

With this new initiative, the company would be able to build a stronger business in the State and will help the Kerala emerge as one among the top three states in the country.

The company had also plans to expand its operations in 175 towns and cities in the country by the end of this year. Currently, it has 120 offices catering to over 3,000 locations all over the country.
