RCF Q4 net down 58%

Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd (RCF) has seen a 58.21 per cent dip in its net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31. The company posted a net profit of Rs 33.31 crore for the quarter ended March 31, as compared to Rs 79.72 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 860.05 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 949.71 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

For the year ended March 31, the company posted a net profit of Rs 148.74 crore (Rs 147.96 crore). Total income (net of excise) has increased to Rs 3,572.97 crore(Rs 3,114.89 crore). The company's board of directors also recommended payment of a final dividend at 10 per cent to shareholders of the company for the year 2006-07, the company told the Bombay Stock Exchange. RCF shares were up 5.50 per cent, at Rs 41.25 on the BSE.
