Madurai, May 9

The Kolkata-based Institute of Computer Accountants (ICA) has opened its training centre here. Already seven of its centres are functioning in Chennai and one at Tiruchi in the State. Overall, 275 centres across the country are functioning since inception in 1999, according to the Zonal Head (South), Mr A. Satish Kumar. The institute offered courses in "Industrial Accountancy" with the duration ranging from six months to one year. The course module has been designed to enhance in addition, personality and communication skills. It also offered placement assistance with `any time job guarantee card'. Plans are afoot to open centres in Coimbatore and Tirunelveli, he added.
