Headstrong Services opens centre in Noida

New Delhi May 10 Headstrong Services India Private Ltd, a global consultancy firm based in Washington DC, has inaugurated its third centre in India at Noida. The company has invested around $20 million in the new facility.

Addressing a press conference, Mr Arjun Malhotra, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Headstrong Services, said, "Keeping in line with India's reputation of being the world's preferred software hub, we are delighted to open one of the largest capital market centre. The new centre of excellence will focus on delivering high-end business and technology solutions for global securities and capital markets industry." Mr Malhotra also said that the company plans to set up two more centres in Mumbai and Hyderabad by 2009 and capitalise on the growing financial services market that is expected to attract around $525 million of IT business expenditure worldwide.

The company also plans to increase its headcount from 1,250 to around 2,000 by the end of the year and its overall headcount worldwide to 3,500 in the same time frame.

Headstrong services for the first quarter (company follows a January-December financial year) of the current financial year grew by 19.7 per cent to $40 million over the corresponding previous quarter.
