`New financing tools will help public enterprises'

Hyderabad May 10 Public enterprises in the country lack sensitisation on new financing instruments, according to a study conducted by Hyderabad-based Institute of Public Enterprises (IPE).

According to a press release, the study titled `New Financing Instruments: A Case Study of Select Central Public Enterprises in India' by Mr V. Narender of IPE, also pointed out that capital cost in these enterprises could decline with the introduction of new financing instruments.

It also suggested greater usage of new financing instruments such as money market instruments, debt instruments and equity instruments. The study covered 83 public enterprises in the central sector and a few enterprises in the private sector.
