Goldsmiths' co-op posts profit

Mangalore, May 11

The S.K. Goldsmiths' Industrial Cooperative Society Ltd, Mangalore, has registered a profit of Rs 62.69 lakh during 2006-07. A press release said here that the society has been earning profit for the past 26 years. The deposits of the society stood at Rs 19.19 crore (Rs 17.86 crore) during 2006-07. At the end of March 31, the share capital of the society stood at Rs 97.22 lakh (Rs 86.48 lakh). Work on the construction of the new building of the society is in progress, and it is estimated to cost around Rs 30 lakh, the release said.
