Surana Ind finalises contracts

Chennai, May 12

Surana Industries Ltd has finalised a Rs 58-crore contract for boilers, electrostatic precipitators and turbines for its 35-MW captive power plant, part of the upcoming integrated steel plant, in Raichur, Karnataka.

According to a press release, orders worth Rs 36 crore have been placed with Cethar Vessels (P) Ltd, Tiruchi, for boilers, while China-based Qingdao Jieneng Power Station Engineering Co Ltd and Hyderabad-based Associated Power Team Pvt Ltd will supply turbines worth Rs 14 crore.

Thermax Ltd, Pune, will provide electrostatic precipitators worth Rs 8 crore.
