TBWA India bags `Agency of the Year' award

MR PRATAP SUTHAN, National Creative Director, Grey World Wide, lights the lamp at Pepper 2007 award function organised by Cochin Ad club.

Kochi May 13 TBWA India has won the `Agency of the Year' award in the first edition of Pepper 2007, the annual creative award function of Advertising Club of Cochin. Agency of the year award was accorded on the basis of maximum points received on all categories of the competition.

Pepper 2007, opened first time for agencies from all over South India, received overwhelming response with more than 500 entries from 53 agencies vying for the honours.

Of the 500 entries, 39 were selected under various categories of the competition. Also 29 were selected as finalists.

"We are now confident to invite agencies from all over the country to compete for the creative awards in the coming years," Mr K. Venugopal, President of the Club, said.

The Ad Club of Cochin having 450 members is organising creative award function for the past 12 years. It regularly organises seminars and workshops for advertising professionals. The Club also runs an institute for one-year diploma course in advertising, media planning, creativity and copy writing.
