Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) on Monday announced that Mr Shoeb Ahmed has assumed office as Director (Commercial). Prior to this, Mr Ahmed was Executive Director (Marketing - Long Products) at SAIL's Central Marketing Organisation headquarters in Kolkata.

In a press release, the company said that during stint in international and domestic marketing, Mr Ahmed has being instrumental in implementing several strategic initiatives for improving the company's sales and customer satisfaction. He also held key posts in human resource development and corporate planning departments of SAIL.
