The share of the organised business sector in net domestic product (NDP) of the country has increased from 39.6 per cent in 2000-01 to 42 per cent in 2004-05 and the average annual growth rate of organised sector between 2000-01 and 2004-05 stood at 11.2 per cent, the Parliament was informed on Wednesday. Simultaneously, the share of operating surplus (consisting of rent, interest and profits) in the NDP increased from 37.4 per cent in 2000-01 to 46.2 per cent in 2004-05.
