Software Variety - Children & Parenting States - Andhra Pradesh Kids' day out at Microsoft Our Bureau
Hyderabad May 17 It was Kids' Day Out at the Microsoft India Development Centre at Hyderabad where children turned techies during `Bring Your Child to Work Day', and got a feel of the world of technology. Kids in the age group of 3 to 17 years visited their parent's workplace, and experimented with the popular XBOX 360 and games based on other Microsoft products. The objective was to excite children about technology and encourage them to innovate in all aspects of their lives. The Human Resources Director, Microsoft Hyderabad, Mr Debashis Patnaik, in a statement said: "This is one window to help our extended Microsoft families get a peek into the lives of our employees, their parents. The other part is motivation that stems from the fact that children as harbingers and users of tomorrow`s innovation have always been important to Microsoft." This also forms part of various initiatives to bring in work-life balance. One HR India Charter ensures a consistent employee experience in Microsoft India, wherever they work in the six subsidiaries.
