BHPV gets Rs 20-cr HAL order

Visakhapatnam, May 18

Bharat Heavy Plate and Vessels Ltd (BHPV) has received an order worth Rs 20 crore from HAL for supply of 20 sets of critical heat exchangers to be used in the Tejas light combat aircraft, according to a company release. It added that the order is the culmination of extensive R&D efforts put in by the Department concerned in BHPV, with the support of the Aeronautical Development Agency, Bangalore. It is a significant step forward for the company, as it also opens up export possibilities, the release said.
